Veerataneswarar Temple is a Hindu temple situated in the Thiruvirkudi district of Tamilnadu, in Thiruvarur. Shiva is the presiding Deity. He ‘s called Veerataneswarar. His consort is known as Nayaki Elavarkuzhali / Parimala. It is considered one of the Veerattanams of Ashta (eight) where Shiva is dressed as “Murthi Samhara” The Tulsi is Sthala Vriksham. Chakkara and Changu Theerthams are theerothams of this temple.
