There is a belief / myth that this single time of God is equivalent to 16 times worshipping the Shiva in Kasi, 8 times in Thiruvannamalai and 3 times in Chidambaram by worshipping this.

Thirupathiripuliyur is one of Tamil Nadu’s ancient temples at Cuddalore. It is named after the Pathiri Tree and the Puliyur, a saint with tiger legs who received absolution in the area.
