  1. Taj Mahal 

Taj mahal is not only an exceptional work of art but also has a huge historical backdrop. This is considered to be the seventh wonder of the world. This is a seventeenth century phenomenon and the construction ended in 1643. Though the work of interior design and other works continued for a few more years. It is situated in Agra which is in Uttar Pradesh. This great architecture was dedicated to Mumtaz, the wife of the great Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan as a symbol of his love for her.   1. Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is another  sensational work of art and architecture. This place is situated in Jaipur of Rajasthan and it was built under the commencement of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. People also know this place in the name of “ The Windy Palace” or “ The Place of Breeze’ etc.  This place is a huge aspect of historical architecture. This palace has a different kind of structure and is quite an unique one in this genre. It has a honeycomb type of structure which makes it more attractive in the sense. Those cells were made for the passing of air through that and make it relevant to its title. This huge mansion has five floors all together and there are nine hundred and fifty three windows in totality. This would sound a bit queer but there lies the uniqueness of this great architecture.   1. Red Fort 

Red Fort is another famous piece of architecture which maintains a deep affinity with the ancient history of India. This had been the home of many great rulers in India. This was made during  the reign of the  Mughals. It was the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan who commissioned the work of this architecture in 1639. After the Mughal reign, many have owned this place which include Maratha, Sikh, British and currently Government of India. So, is the symbol of many great battles and memories. It’s a gem of Indian history and culture. This is one of UNESCO‘s World Heritage sites as well. Red Fort is situated in Old Delhi, India. One great fact about the Red Fort is that this great architecture was also built by the same builder, Ustad Ahmad Lahori who had constructed Taj Mahal.   1. India Gate 

Though this monument does not have such depth in history as the other monuments or architectures do, it is very significant in the Indian History. It is a twentieth century phenomenon and the exact year of its establishment is 1921. This monument was made in the memory of those Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the First World War. India Gate memorizes the hardship and sacrifice the people of India had made for the sake of this country. This great monument is located in New Delhi, the capital of India and it is also the most visited place in that state. All the inscriptions and pictures that are found on this monument are dedicated to those soldiers. This is a great way to show respect to them and honor their service for this country. 

  1. Charminar 

Charminar is the most famous architecture in Hyderabad. It is so valuable as a monument that this literally symbolizes Hyderabad. This mosque is the major tourist attraction of the state Telangana. Though it’s a mosque but people of every caste , creed and religion can not help themselves wondering after watching it. A huge amount of people from all over India come to visit this place. The mosque was established in the year 1591 and since then , this monument is brightening the glory of Hyderabad. Victoria Memorial, as the name itself suggests, was created in the memory of queen Victoria of England during the British reign in India. It’s structure, interior designs, wall paintings, statues, garden and even the entrance has a deep significance as a British made architecture. Mysore Palace is another place with great historical significance. This is in the southern part of India and as a consequence, it has some touch of South Indian culture. As the name of the palace itself suggests, it is located in Mysore in Karnataka. The construction of the palace ended in 1912. As a palace, the beauty and design is nothing but matchless. A huge number of people come to visit this place to witness the grandeur  and richness of the palace. It has more than six million visitors annually.   1. Konark Sun Temple 

The Konark Sun Temple in Odisha is the symbol of how ancient the history and culture of India actually is. This is a thirteenth century phenomena built in approximately 1250. The Sun god is the presiding deity of this ancient temple. This is one of India’s most famous religious places. Though this is a very old temple nut still the architecture possesses an unexplainable beauty of its own. The craftsmanship of the temple is nothing but a gem in this genre. This is one of UNESCO’s world Heritage Sites and it rightly deserves this honor. This temple is also called the “Black Pagoda” as its colour looks a bit black on seeing it from a certain place.   1. Qutb Minar   

Qutb Minar is one of the most ancient structures in India. It was built in 1199. This enormous and ancient structure is very important in Indian history. It has  a pole-like structure and it has a height of 72.5 meters. This is supposedly the tallest structure in the world made up of bricks. This is another UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India. India is full of Heritage Sites. This structure is huge and it has 379 steps all together. The construction of this was initiated under the reign of Qutb-Ud-din aibak.
