Satchinathar Temple is a Hindu temple situated in the Tamilnadu district of Avalivanallur in Thiruvarur. It is one of the 275 Paadal Petra shrines.
Sthalams-Tamil glorified Shiva Sthalams in the early mediaeval poetry Thevaram Saivite Nayanmars Sambandar and Sundarar to Tirugnana. It was once situated in a Trumpet Flower Tree forest in Tamil called Pathiri Vanam.

This Temple is considered to be the 217th Thevaram Paadal Petra Shiva Sthalam and the 100th Sthalam at Chozha Nadu on the south side of the Cauvery river.
It is believed to be one of the Pancha Aranya Sthalams. Thirukkarugavur, Alangudi, Avalivanallur, Haridwaramangalam and Thirukollampudhur are the five temples which collectively make the Pancha Aranya Sthalams.
In this group of temples representing Padhiri Vanam, Avalivanallur is second.
