The Kalakkad Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the few Tiger-housed national parks in South India. Samadhi Mandir is owned and designed by a Nagpur millionaire who was an ardent Sai baba devotee. The devotee decided to instal Lord Murlidhar's idol and so Sai baba proclaimed himself to be one.The temple is beautifully made up of white marble, in the midst of two massive pillars railed by eye-catching ornaments.

The location where Sai Baba first appeared to the world as a 16-year-old boy is Gurusthan. The position is underneath a tree from Neem. It also has a shrine with a Shivalingam and the Nandi bull right before it on which the portrait of Sai baba is set.Gurusthan means- the teacher's seat. Devotees really believe that they will be healed of all ailments by lighting incense sticks at this spot.
