Tourist Places To Visit From Tuticorin To Shirdi:
Thoothukudi: This town is 600 km from Chennai State Capital. The main occupation of this region is fisheries, pearl harvesting and salt production. This is often referred to as the Pearl City because of the abundance of rich pearls here under the sea. District has a population of 17,50,176 and a population of 2,37,830 in the Town.
The natural harbour is the distinctive feature of this area. This port has a sense of pre-independence: V.O. Chidambaram Pillai, popularly referred to as VOC, a noted freedom fighter who sailed the first Indian ship from Thoothukudi to port Colombo, protesting against the British Dominance.
Sankara Rameswarar Temple: This Lord Siva dedicated temple is a famous religious centre. The pilgrims travelling to Tiruchendur take a dip in this temple at a holy tank called Vancha Pushkarani. This is where it is believed that Lord Shiva referred to the goddess Parvathi as Pranava-Mantra, and this location is called Thirumanthira Nagaram.
Hare Island: Situated near the harbour. This island is used for pleasure by both locals and visitors from outside. The PONGAL [January] holiday festival brings thousands of visitors to the island. Tourists are granted special transport facilities.
Suganthi Devadason Marine Research Institute: Founded by Mr. D.G.Rajan, a prominent industrialist and social worker, this Marine Research and Higher Education Institute. The Suganthi Devadason Trust was set up in 1998 to address the research needs of India’s marine and coastal ecosystems. This Center supports Marine Science Higher Education.
Temple of Kulasekarapattinam Mutharamman: It is 20 km from Thoothukudi. This was a former port on the coast of Coromandel. Mutharamman Temple is situated on the seashore, about 150 years old. More than 3 lakh pilgrims from in and around the district are drawn to the 10 day Dasserah Festival, celebrated during September-October.
Shirdi, in western India, is a town in the state of Maharashtra. It is recognised as the revered spiritual leader Sai Baba’s former home, and as a major pilgrimage site. In order to honour his legacy, devotees gather daily at the Sai Baba Temple complex. Here the shrine of Samadhi Mandir has an ornate marble statue of Sai Baba next to his grave. Nearby are Dwarkamai, a mosque once home to Sai Baba.
The only mosque that has a temple in it is possibly Dwarkamai! One is taken over by the holy energy of Sai Baba, and bestowed upon entering this mosque with his blessings. The striking and strong optimistic environment is so soothing and peaceful that you can feel your soul cleansed of all worries, insecurities and negativity. You feel at home once you reach Baba ‘s home.
The beautiful garden is located on highway from Shirdi-Manmade State. In the mornings and evenings, Sai Baba used to spend most of his time here watering the plants every day.The neem tree in the garden once provided Sai baba with shade and rest. There is a marble ‘Deepagraha’ in the garden where Sai once lit a deep-sea that even today burns from dusk to dawn.
Shani Shignapur Temple is a Jeet Devasthan (alive temple) in the district of Ahmednagar, renowned for the mystical and powerful Lord Shani who is believed to be residing in a black stone to this day. Swayambhu is the Hindu God symbolising the planet Saturn, which means that he has appeared in the form of the black stone that scores devotees’ lakhs every year.
People’s faith in the Lord is so strong that there are no doors and locks in any of the houses in the wonderful village, as people believe that Lord Shani is shielding their valuables from thieves.The passion and vehemence grow to the next level on some of the holiest days like Saturdays, Amavasya and Shri Shaneshchar Jayanti.

Renuka Temple is one of Himachal Pradesh ‘s scenic pilgrimage sites. It is approximately 45 km away from Nahan. It is also an ideal holiday destination, in addition to being a holy location. Shaped like a woman’s reclining body, it is Himachal Pradesh ‘s largest pool. On its bank, is the famous Renuka Temple. Renuka was Rishi Jamdagni ‘s wife and Parshuram ‘s mother. The Renuka Fair will be held in November month every year.
The Renuka Temple was built in the later half of the 19th century according to Hindu mythology. A ‘math’ (sacred shrine) that houses the image of Renuka Devi consists of this temple complex. As the Gurkha attacks in the year 1814 took place, this structure is also historically important.

Shiridi Town is situated in Rahata Tahasil, in the Maharashtra district of Ahmednagar. The town also houses a dedicated Sai Baba temple.
The temple has a magnificent idol and Sai Baba’s samadhi who are visited in large numbers by devotees. Shreemant Gopalrao who had unwavering faith in Sai Baba constructed the temple. Shiridi is an important hindus pilgrimage centre and is visited by visitors from all over the world.
