Shri Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir

The date of birth of Sai Baba, including his place of birth, remains uncertain and is debatable due to a lack of evidence and there is no conclusive information to prove it. The most authoritative Shirdi Sai Baba knowledge appears to be extracted from a book written in Marathi in 1922 by a disciple named Hemadpant (also known as Annasaheb Dabholkar / Govind Raghunath) named Shri Sai Satcharitra. The book itself is a collection based on accounts of Sa’s personal impressions of his various disciples and Hemadpant.

The religious texts of both Islam and Hinduism were interpreted by Sai Baba. In the spirit of Advaita Vedanta, he explained the significance of the Hindu scriptures. Also, his ideology had various bhakti components. His teachings were inspired by the three key Hindu spiritual paths, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Karma Yoga. In August 2012, for the first time in the Shirdi temple, an anonymous devotee donated two expensive diamonds worth 11.8 million, as reported by Saibaba trust officials.

Bhimashankar

A famous temple town is Bhimashankar, located about 100 km from Pune and 223 km from Mumbai. It is one of Lord Shiva’s twelve traditional ‘Jyotilingam’ shrines in India.

Bhimashankar is a popular religious center located near the popular trekking destination of Karjat, within the state of Maharashtra. One of the twelve Holy Jyotirlinga shrines found in India, five of which are located in Maharashtra itself, is particularly famous for being home to Bhimashankar.

The temple, perched at an altitude of 3,250 ft, is situated in the village of Shiradhon, about 568 km northwest of Khed, near the town of Pune. It is set in the majestic Sahayadri Ranges of the Ghat zone. The root of the Bhima River, which flows south-east and later merges with the Krishna River, also happens to be Bhimashankar.

Trimbakeshwar

Why is trimbakeshwar famous?
