The Temple of Achaleswarar is devoted to the Hindu God Shiva inside the Temple of Thyagaraja Thiruvarur Tamilnadu District. Historically the location is named as Araneri and Achaleswaram. That’s it.

Naminandhi Adigal without fail worshipped Lord Achaleswarar every day. When he came to the temple one evening, he found that the Deepa-the lamp was almost extinguished as the ghee was drained.

It would be too late if he went to his house to get the ghee, to finish the fire. He has approached for ghee some neighbours.

They belonged to another religion and were ridiculed at Naminandhi
Adigal believing his Lord Shiva was a mighty God as he carried a torch himself and even told him that if his religion was real, he might light the lamp with water.
